About us
We’re an independent, Driver Training Centre in Livingston, West Lothian. We provide First Class Driver Training and Qualification, for individual drivers and businesses, operating within the transportation sector.
Our bespoke CPC, ADR and Driver Training Courses are designed specifically to provide the highest quality training, with a recognised driver success and pass rate. Providing Driver Training and Qualification courses, for drivers from all over Scotland.

All Pole Position driving instructors are highly trained, NVDIR (National Vocational Driving Instructors). Registered and equipped to deliver the most up-to-date practical and theory-based training. Courses & benefits
All Pole Position driver courses are approved and accredited by the leading driving standards agency, the DVSA. We provide all the relevant training and information, to enable candidates to feel comfortable and confident at each stage of their assessment. We also manage of all the administration that surrounds each test or module, saving time, effort and money for the candidate.
Refresher courses are available for certain course categories. These are designed for anyone who has a category licence but has been out of the industry for any period of time. Or for those who have obtained their licence some time ago and need updating on the latest legislation and standards within the industry.
Note: To be able to drive a particular type of vehicle, you need the ‘entitlement’ for that particular category on your driving licence. For more information, please visit the DVSA website (external site).

Just passed my class 1 today(first try), and I'm absolutely buzzing. I did my training with Pole Position Driver Training, and honestly I couldn't be happier I chose them. From the start, the communication with Mike was excellent, he informed me about everything I needed to know, really fast replies to my e-mails, and everything was booked in no time. My instructor was Andy, and I have nothing but good things to say about him, not only as an instructor but also as a person, he's a 10. He'll make sure you understand when to do things correctly, and why, he corrects you when you make a mistake, but also lets you know when you are doing things right (you might get a big smile and a fist bump too!). You can easily tell he loves his job and he was so happy when I passed my test. Price wise, it was (way) cheaper than other companies, which is a massive plus. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Andy!!

Fantastic trainers and brilliant training methods! I am normally a shy and anxious person but Andy put me at ease, very calm and methodical approach, and allowed me to pick it up very quickly! Just been through a Class 2 course with Pole Position and from start to finish finish I can say it was an excellent experience. Dealt with personally with Andy and Mike couldn’t say nicer things about the two of them. From experience having dealt with bad trainers who aren’t understanding or patient this was a breath of fresh air with Pole Position. Couldn’t recommend enough to anyone looking at the reviews. 10/10

I done my class 1 with pole position. Great training company. Mike was great he keeps you updated before you start your training. Andy is brilliant as well, he speaks to you about anything you are not sure of that calms your nerves for the run up to your test. Davy is one of a kind. He is nicest instructor you can have training you. Really enjoyable experience.

Can't recommend them enough. Andy was an amazing instructor, very chill and funny, great at explaining things and answering any of my questions. If there was anything you were nervous about Andy would take the time to go over everything with you, it's not just about ticking a box they make sure you are confident in what you are doing. If there were any areas you wanted to practise before a test they were more than happy to stop and focus on it until you were happy.
